This poll is really not much of a competition anymore. As the snow begins to fall here in Saskatchewan, the poll numbers widen into a bigger and bigger lead for the Conservatives. For the first time in our polls, it looks like the Liberals have a solid second place now.
As results are showing a huge lead for the Conservatives, it is important to announce that a snowstorm/freezing rain event is about to occur in Saskatchewan and Manitoba this weekend. Therefore, updates to another blog will be more entertaining than this one. Please follow the following blog:
What is going on here? Even the news media is starting to turn against the Liberals? The polls are now all coming in with the Conservatives ahead. In all polls? That is too broad a statement. Most polls are showing a big Conservative lead. There are likely many polls that we do not know of but hopefully we can find the links to at least a few more. Maybe it has something to do with the overall lower TV traffic. People are more busy on the Internet and playing console games than to waste their screens on the same old propaganda.
Mike Duffy Sends Liberal Strategist Away Red Faced
In an exchange on CTV News, host Mike Duffy turned on a Liberal strategist after comments were made by Stephan Harper criticizing the use of a new Liberal ad tactic. The ad was so ridiculous that I hesitate to mention what it was about. I will provide some outside links to steer clear of any more controversy concerning this issue.
What a start to the final poll of this Canadian Federal Election poll race! It looks like the Conservatives are running away with the lead on the first day of the poll. Even the Greens have surprised the other parties with a jump into second place. Of course it is very early in this race but numbers are slightly higher than the last two polls after one day.
The last poll we did had some very surprising results. The Conservatives held on to the lead with the New Democrats close behind. The biggest surprise was that the Marijuanas were supported so strongly once again. Even seeming to take votes away from the Western Seperatists to form a strong third place. Green supporters gained significant ground on the main parties and even the Liberals managed to intice a few people to vote for them.
A new poll has be fired up for the last 2 weeks of the Canandian Federal Election campaign. As the leaders get ready for an official televised debate tonight in Montreal, hopefully the leaders of all parties will get the people of Canada to make this country into one of the greatest democracies in the world with record participation. It all starts with debates and poll watching, and it will all be decided on January 23, 2006. For now here is our poll and past results:
Monday, January 9, 2006, at 5pm, the current poll will be added up and closed. The final poll before the Canadian Federal Election will run from 5pm, Monday, January 9, 2006 until Sunday, January 22, 2006 at 5pm. So far the Conservatives are holding onto the lead.
Of great improtance to this web-log site: the numbers of people actually voting on my site have been disappointing to say the least. Since this portion of my site only accounts for less than 1% of saskatoonscanner.com visitors, it will not be updated until we get lots more people voting.
