More on the Vellacott Story
Candidates in Saskatoon's Wanuskewin riding went toe to toe on the David Kirton show on
650 NTR News Talk Radio, this afternoon. The panel discussion was already charged by the controversy surrounding Chris Axworthy's Liberal campaign office, which appeared to be nearly empty at the time of the broadcast, as usual. Instead of holding his staff accountable or resigning, Axworthy claimed that it is impossible to control all of the people in his office. NDP candidate, former police chief and mayor, Jim Madden, tore into both Vellacott and Axworthy on the radio program.

The Potent Pew claims that Hollywood director, Micheal Moore broke Canadian law and should face the consequences (likely a slap on the wrist).
Election Poll Update
Over the last couple of days, the Conservatives have lost some of their lead as our poll gets noticed all over the country. Amazingly, the number of votes coming in from Lower Canada (Ontario) has begun to rival votes from Central Canada (Alberta/Saskatchewan/Manitoba). Of course, Central Canada still easily leads voting numbers. This may be due to the fact that very few people bother to fill out census forms and population numbers may actually be way off target in Central Canada. Hopefully with a renewed confidence in the Federal system, citizens will participate in Canadian procedures more often in the future. For now it seems that the ruling government has pissed off enough people to get them to vote in our poll, so actual voter turn-out may be surprising this year. The last time the ruling party was defeated, that party lost so many seats in the House of Commons, that the entire party was dismantled. Voting numbers have tailed off somewhat in the last couple of days but Tuesday was our biggest day so far with 26 votes. Still, the Liberals have not picked up enough support to suggest that they will retain official party status as history has showed us what happens in a landslide type of situation.
As a side note, political controversy has come to Saskatoon as Mike Duffy of CTV reported Thursday evening. The desperate Liberal candidate, Chris Axworthy, who by the way never had a hope of winning his seat in the NDP/Conservative battleground Saskatoon, allowed "someone" in his office to make a prank phone call to a televised debate that he wasn't invited to. Polls Blog A Real Hit!
Statistically speaking, this has been by far the most successful blog we have made so far. Visitor numbers are still growing daily and voters keep showing up from all over the country. It has been entertaining to say the least to observe the votes as they come in. We just had surge of votes for the Liberals as eastern Canada begins to take over the majority of votes as they come in today. Still the lead for the Conservatives has grown to a steady 65% majority.

Poll Participants
Taking a look at where our votes are coming in from, lately, people have come from all over Canada even Viginia and Texas are representing. New Brunswick, Manitoba, Yukon, and many from Ontario have placed votes. Shaw Cable and Sasktel still hold the usual majority of voters.
